UNO to donate $1 to Autism Speaks for every mini-dessert purchased BOSTON, MASS., December 7, 2015 – This holiday season, Uno Pizzeria & Grill is helping guests pay it forward with their Random Acts of Sweetness program. Throughout the month of December, Uno guests are able to purchase a mini-dessert for another guest and $1 of their purchase will be donated to Autism Speaks.
Uno Pizzeria & Grill guests can purchase a mini-dessert by filling out a holiday donation card and sending it to another diner in the restaurant, or they can opt to have a server or manager select a lucky recipient at random. The recipient can then choose from Uno’s Hot Chocolate Brownie Sundae, Granny Smith All American, Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup or the Macadamia Nut White Chocolate Chunk Deep Dish Cookie Sundae and potentially pay it forward to another unsuspecting guest.
“The holidays are a time of giving and receiving and this is a fun way for our guests to get in the spirit and spread good will. What better way to help such an incredible organization as Autism Speaks than with a delicious dessert from UNO! We’ve been very eager to work with Autism Speaks and this is the perfect way to start our relationship.” commented Dee Hadley, Chief Marketing Officer for Uno on the program and partnership with Autism Speaks.
“This is a great opportunity to share the holiday spirit and to keep the giving going,” said Peter Morton, vice president of corporate development at Autism Speaks. “Each donation helps to provide programs and resources that will improve the quality of life for children and adults with autism throughout the new year.”
